Some people have medical conditions which make their blood sugar levels be at a different range then normal.
For the most part people use the same scale to determine what normal blood sugar levels are and what they should be at. When waking up before you eat breakfast your blood sugar level should be in between eighty to one hundred and twenty. Two hours after a meal it should be at one hundred and sixty or less. When you go to bed your blood sugar level should reach between one hundred to one hundred and forty.

Sometimes if you have an abnormal blood sugar level your doctor will put you on medication to regulate your levels. It is also important to watch what you eat. Make sure you keep track of how much sugar you are putting into your body, especially if you are diabetic.

Many people have really high blood sugars due to eating too many sweets or having a medical condition that makes their levels reach higher then normal. It is important to monitor your blood sugar levels and keep them at a normal level for your body and age. If you have diabetes in your family then you need to make sure that you really watch your levels for health reasons.

What causes hypoglycemia?
Diabetes is the most common culprit when it comes to hypoglycemia, but it can also be caused by several other things including: medications, endocrine problems, kidney disease, and tumors.

Is hypoglycemia a disease?
No. Hypoglycemia is not a disease, but it may be an indication that there is a disease present.

What are some of the symptoms that are present with hypoglycemia?
Heart palpitations, tremors, nervousness, and fatigue are symptoms that are common when someone has this condition.

What are some treatment options for hypoglycemia?
The immediate treatment is to try to raise the blood sugar by giving a person something to eat or drink that is high in sugar. The next step is to try to treat the underlying condition.

How do doctors test for hypoglycemia?
Doctors usually perform a blood test to check a person for hypoglycemia. They may also ask a person questions about diet, exercise, and other lifestyle habits to see if there is a correlation.

Hypoglycemia is a condition where someone’s blood sugar is abnormally low.

What are some symptoms of hypoglycemia?
Symptoms of mild hypoglycemia may include: hunger, heart palpitations, anxiety, and irritability. If a person is severely hypoglycemic, he or she may have a seizure or lose consciousness.
What are some things that may trigger hypoglycemia?

In diabetic individuals, taking too much insulin can cause blood sugar to drop to abnormal levels. Additionally, not eating enough, certain medications, kidney problems, and alcohol abuse may also cause hypoglycemia.
What is the treatment for hypoglycemia?

Treatment for hypoglycemia usually involves eating or drinking something that will raise the blood sugar quickly. Glucose tablets, lumps of sugar, and fruit juice all have a high sugar concentration that will help raise a person’s blood sugar rapidly. After ingesting a sugar rich food or drink, a person should eat some complex carbohydrates such as rice, bread, or pasta. If a person is severely hypoglycemic and cannot relieve his or her symptoms at home, he or she will need to go to the hospital.

How can hypoglycemia be prevented?
Checking one’s blood sugar regularly and eating frequent, small meals will help keep glucose levels in check.

Blood sugar is a measure of the amount of blood (also referred to as glucose) in the blood.

What is the significance of blood sugar?
Physicians are interested in knowing a patient’s blood sugar because if the levels are too high, it is an indication of diabetes. If the levels are too low, it can be an indication of other health problems.

What is normal non fasting blood sugar?
A normal non fasting blood sugar level is between 70 and 140mg/dl. If a person’s levels fall below 70 mg/dl, he or she is classified as hypoglycemic. If a person’s levels fall between 140 and 199 mg/dl, he or she is considered pre diabetic. If a person’s levels are over 200 mg/dl, he or she is considered diabetic.

How do doctor’s treat a patient’s blood sugar levels that are too high or too low?
If a person’s blood sugar levels are too low, he or she will most likely be advised to ingest extra sugar in his or her diet. If a person’s levels are too high, which means he or she is diabetic; the doctor will either prescribe medication or order the patient to take insulin.

What is hypoglycemia?
Hypoglycemia is a condition that describes abnormally low sugar levels in the blood. A person’s blood sugar has to be below 70 mg/dl in order to be classified as hypoglycemic.

What are the symptoms of hypoglycemia?
The symptoms depend on the severity of this condition. Nausea, extreme hunger, nervousness, tingling in fingers and toes, and a rapid heartbeat are all symptoms of mild hypoglycemia. Fatigue, dizziness, and confusion are symptoms of moderate hypoglycemia. Seizures, convulsions, and low body temperature are signs that a person’s hypoglycemia is severe.

What causes hypoglycemia?
Hypoglycemia is often caused by diabetes, but it can be caused by other things such as: metabolic problems, drinking too much alcohol, certain medications, and diseases of the liver, kidneys or pancreas.

What are some medical tests used to diagnose hypoglycemia?
If a doctor suspects that a person has hypoglycemia, he or she will do an extensive exam. The doctor will first take a person’s medical history by asking questions about diet, current medications, and family history.

He or she will then perform a physical exam looking for signs of liver, kidney, or adrenal disease and malnutrition. The doctor will then order laboratory tests that confirms that a person has hypoglycemia.

If you have high blood sugar, you probably need to make some lifestyle changes. The first thing to do is to examine your diet. Cut out all sugary treats like candy, cookies, cakes, and pies, or reserve them for special occasions. Whenever possible, use alternative sweeteners, such as, Stevia.

You will also need to cut back on foods with a high glycemic index, such as, potatoes, rice, white bread, and white pasta. These carbohydrates are convert to glucose in the body. Although fruit and fruit juice are both healthy, they contain natural sugars which can still raise your blood sugar level.

Keep a watch on your daily intake of these items, and watch out for added sugars in bottled fruit juices. Exercise is also important. Be sure you get 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily to burn off the glucose stored in your body. Also, drink plenty of water to flush out excess sugar.

Studies have shown that consuming 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon daily, can lower blood sugar as much as 20-30%. Try sprinkling some on your oatmeal in the mornings, or if you prefer, take 5-6 grams daily in capsule form. Also, drinking a cup of green tea daily has proven to be effective in lowing blood sugar as much as 30 points in some individuals.

With the recession in full swing these days, more and more people are loathe to spend money on healthcare, which has, even before the recession hit, been very costly. Thus, many have looked to alternative methods of combating diseases like cancer, and eliminating excess body fat.

It is a fact that traditional operations and medications for these kinds of conditions are very expensive, and not everybody can afford them. It is a good thing though, that alternative means to fight these conditions are available, which have been proven my many and are much more affordable, making it accessible to much more people.

Green tea is one of those remedies that has been time tested throughout many old civilizations, particularly by the Chinese and other eastern cultures. Green tea has proven to have many anti-oxidant qualities, which cleanse the body of toxins and other harmful elements.

This is also why green tea is considered to be a deterrent to many cancers. Ever wonder why many people from older eastern generations live much longer than people today? Green tea is one of those reasons, as many have adapted green tea as part of their daily drinks, which has in turn, given them many health benefits.

Particularly when used to fight obesity, green tea is very effective. It gets rid of harmful fat (there are also good fats in the body, FYI) and promotes faster metabolism, not only cleansing you but also giving you more energy, and promoting weight loss. Many people have discovered the benefits of pairing green tea with exercise, which has given them great, fit bodies.

As mentioned, green tea gets rid of anti-oxidants in the body, anti-oxidants being one of the main causes of cancer. So it simply follows that you have much less chance of contracting cancer if you drink green tea (or consume any equivalent product). The dispersion of free radicals from your body, which are harmful elements that cause a number of serious diseases, makes you healthier, stronger, and much more energetic.

There are a number of green tea derived products on the market, so you only need to take you pick and choose which ones work best for you. The good thing is that it’s completely safe and affordable to experiment, because what you really need to decide on is which products is more convenient for you to use. But in the end, you can still fight cancer and lose weight at the same time. Here’s to a healthier you!

At present there are many arrays of delicacies that have been created but it would be nice to try a dish called beef stew. Beef stew is one of the most favourite home-cook recipes. Stewing is also an effective way of cooking that tenderizes tough pieces of meat like beef or turkey meat.

There are many versions and variations of beef and turkey stew in recipe books across the internet. If done right and with some trial and error, your stew can match those of fine chefs and restaurants. Be sure and invite your family and friends for dinner and don’t forget to let us know how it turned out. Bon appetit!

The Beef or Turkey Stew Ingredients

Make sure that you have prepared everything to make everything goes way easier and faster. The ingredients include:

1 pound lean beef or turkey breast, cut into cubes
2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
5 cups beef or turkey broth, fat removed
5 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
12 small carrots, cut into large chunks
1¼ cups green peas
¼ tsp. salt (optional)
¼ tsp. pepper
¼ tsp. cumin
1½ Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 medium onions, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 medium red/green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium tomato, finely minced
